Historic wrecks and majestic drop offs
This unforgettable voyage offers the pleasures of both a safari and a cruise and will take you on the discovery of 2 exceptional regions of the Philippines. At Busuanga, where an important episode of the battle of the Philippines unfolded, you will discover Japanese wrecks covered in forests of coral, from your base at the Sangat Island Resort. A dive in the mysterious Cayangan volcanic lake will also be a highlight. At Tubbatah Reef, during a 6 night cruise aboard the motor yacht Vasco, the reefs, classified world heritage by UNESCO offer a spectacle of rare intensity: magnificent vertical drop offs, exceptional rich fauna and large numbers of pelagic fish patrol the reefs. Grey sharks, white tip reef sharks, manta rays, turtles, tuna, giant leather skins, barracuda and the occasional hammer head shark.
This voyage is suited for advanced divers wishing to combine wreck and "deep blue" diving: probably the best way to taste the magic of Palawan.
Our Busuanga / Tubbataha itinerary
This 12 night itinerary will combine adventure, exclusive diving and the discovery of a totally preserved environment. Our voyage Busuanga - Tubbataha is the only local itinerary available where during the entire trip you will not change groups and be cared for by the same Team Abyss guide. This voyage is destined for advanced divers searching for sites within the Philippines rarely visited.
For those divers who do not wish to discover the wrecks of Busuanga, we offer a variation to this voyage by combining a mini safari to Apo Island and Siquijor in the Visayas, followed by the cruise to Tubbataha Reef and retaining a total duration of 12 nights. Only 2 expeditions of this alternative will be held in 2009. For more information, please link directly to the page Dates & Prices.
